This self-paced online course is equivalent to 1 semester of high school Algebra 2 or 1/2 of Intermediate College Algebra. There is a sequel to this class, Algebra 2 (second part). These two courses will prepare you well for your first math college course. This Algebra 2 class is very comprehensive. If you choose to take the second class also then it will require the purchase of a textbook. See TEXTBOOK web page for information. You must know Algebra 1 to take this class or have already taken Algebra 2. If you are not sure you know Algebra 1 then please see my free algebra placement test . Math is a process that requires work through problem solving. Some people learn quickly some do not, but all need practice. Rules of math build upon each other. Understanding or memorizing rules is not sufficient. You must be able to use them well to successfully move ahead. I have had numerous adult students complete my classes. Algebra 2 online class, 2nd semester, will prepare the student for College Algebra.
The student taking this algebra 2 course must have completed Algebra 2 first semester or have permission of this instructor before beginning this course. This is a self-paced course. This course requires the purchase of one particular textbook. The Textbook is similar to the one that I use for Algebra 1. It is an excellent algebra book. See TEXTBOOK web page for info. If you completed an Algebra 2 course sometime ago, and you are not sure you are ready for Precalculus then this course will help you review.
